What is your cancellation policy?
For local moves, a deposit refund may be available when you give at least 48 hours’ notice and we are able to replace your original booking with another job. For interstate relocations, you will need to provide 14 days’ notice to receive a full deposit refund.
How much notice do Brisk need upon booking?
It is best to book early so we can organise your preferred date, truck and moving crew. For local Brisbane moves, booking 2 to 4 weeks ahead is usually recommended. For interstate moves, at least 4 weeks’ notice is the better option.
If your move is coming up sooner, we will try to assist where our schedule allows.
I don’t have time to pack, can you pack for me?
Yes, we can arrange packing services for customers in Brisbane. For customers outside our service area, we may be able to point you towards a trusted packing provider. Your operations manager can explain which pre-packing options may suit your move.
Do I need insurance?
Transit insurance is included as part of your move. This applies to major vehicle incidents, such as a collision or rollover, but it does not cover accidental damage or specific types of damage, such as cracked screens.
For a better level of protection, separate insurance should be arranged before moving day. CARTS Insurance may be an option to consider.
I want to take out insurance for the move, do I have to take it out with your provider?
No, you can choose your own removals insurance provider. We may suggest an option, although you are not required to use the provider we recommend.
Will my home & contents policy cover the move or storage of my goods?
Policies vary, so you should contact your insurer before the move. They can tell you whether your goods are covered while they are being moved or stored.
Do you provide transit insurance, what does it cover?
Transit insurance is included and applies to total loss if the moving vehicle is involved in a serious incident, such as a road accident or rollover.

How would you handle precious and delicate items?
Precious and delicate items are reviewed according to their material, size, weight and condition. This helps our team decide how each item should be protected and handled.
During pre-packing, fragile items may be wrapped with protective materials such as bubble wrap. If heavier wrapping could put pressure on a delicate surface, our team may choose a lighter handling method.
Will my move be completed in a single day?
Many moves can be completed within one day. Larger moves, interstate relocations and jobs with more involved access may require extra time.
What happens if my belongings don't fit into a single load?
Before moving day, your operations manager will gather information about your belongings and property access so the truck and crew can be planned well.
If one load is unlikely to be enough, we may suggest another truck or additional crew. If everything cannot be moved in one trip on the day, we will arrange another truck where available or return for another load.
What items are you unable to move?
We cannot move the following items:
- Commercial refrigeration units
- Items over 100kg, unless the required conditions are met
- Flammable products, including gas bottles, fuel, oil and paint
- Opened food items
Do you work on weekends or public holidays?
Moves are available Monday to Saturday, excluding public holidays.
Do you move interstate?
Yes, we handle interstate moves from Brisbane to Melbourne and from Melbourne to Brisbane, operating Monday to Saturday in both directions.
How far out of Brisbane do you travel?
For local moves, we service areas within 300km of our Geebung base for both pickup and delivery. If your move falls outside this range, contact us to discuss your options. Availability depends on scheduling at the time of booking.
