What is your cancellation policy?
For local moves, at least 48 hours’ notice is required to be eligible for a full deposit refund. If we are able to secure another booking in your place within that timeframe, your deposit may be returned.
For interstate moves, 14 days’ notice is required to receive a full refund.
How much notice do Brisk need upon booking?
Booking early is the best way to secure your preferred time. For local Brisbane moves, 2 to 4 weeks’ notice is generally recommended. For interstate moves, at least 4 weeks is advised.
If you need to move sooner and we have availability, we will do our best to accommodate your request.
I don’t have time to pack, can you pack for me?
Yes, if you are located in Brisbane, we can organise packing services. If you are outside the area, we can point you to a trusted provider. Speak with your salesperson for more details.
Do I need insurance?
Transit insurance is included and covers your items in the event of a major incident, such as a rollover or collision. It does not cover accidental damage or TV screen damage.
For broader protection, you will need to arrange additional insurance before your move, which can be set up through CARTS Insurance.
I want to take out insurance for the move, do I have to take it out with your provider?
No, you can choose any insurance provider. We can offer a recommendation if you would like assistance.
Will my home & contents policy cover the move or storage of my goods?
This depends on your individual policy. It is best to check directly with your insurer to confirm what is included.
Do you provide transit insurance, what does it cover?
Yes, transit insurance is included and covers total loss if the vehicle is involved in a serious accident, such as a rollover.

Do you do corporate/office moves?
Yes, we handle office and corporate removals. Speak with your salesperson for further details or to arrange a quote.
How would you handle precious and delicate items?
Each delicate item is assessed individually. These items are usually packed with protective materials, such as bubble wrap, before moving day. In some cases, heavier coverings are avoided if they may place pressure on fragile surfaces.
Will my move be completed in a single day?
Most moves are completed within one day. Larger or long-distance moves may take additional time depending on the scope.
What happens if my belongings don't fit into a single load?
Your salesperson will assess your move beforehand and may recommend additional trucks or crew if needed. If anything does not fit on the day, we will arrange another load or return to complete the job.
What items are you unable to move?
We are unable to transport:
- Commercial fridges
- Items over 100 kg unless specific conditions are met
- Flammable items such as gas bottles, fuel, oil, and paint
- Unsealed or open food items
Do you work on weekends or public holidays?
We operate Monday through Saturday but do not operate on public holidays.
Do you move interstate?
Yes, we carry out interstate moves from Brisbane to Melbourne and from Melbourne to Brisbane, operating Monday to Saturday in both directions.
How far out of Brisbane do you travel?
For local moves, we service areas within 300km of our Geebung base for both pickup and delivery. If your move falls outside this range, contact us to discuss your options. Availability depends on scheduling at the time of booking.
