Can I obtain a fixed quote for my move?
Yes. Your dedicated operations manager will explain whether a fixed quote is suitable for your move and help you choose the option that best suits your situation.
What is your cancellation policy?
For local moves, you must give at least 48 hours’ notice to qualify for a full refund of your deposit. If you do, and we find another booking to replace your slot, your deposit might be refunded. For interstate moves, a 14-day notice is necessary to get a full deposit refund.
How much notice do Brisk need upon booking?
Booking early is recommended to secure your preferred date and time. For local Brisbane moves, allow 2 to 4 weeks. For interstate moves, at least 4 weeks’ notice is advised.
If your move is last-minute and we have availability, we will do our best to accommodate your request.
I don’t have time to pack, can you pack for me?
If you are based in Brisbane, we can arrange a packing service. If you are outside this area, we can refer you to a reliable provider. Your operations manager can discuss pre-packing options with you.
Do I need insurance?
Transit insurance is included and covers incidents such as rollovers or collisions. It does not cover accidental damage or damage to TV screens.
For broader protection, you will need to arrange comprehensive insurance before your move. This can be organised through CARTS Insurance.
I want to take out insurance for the move, do I have to take it out with your provider?
No. You are free to choose your own insurance provider. We can suggest an option if you would like assistance.
Will my home & contents policy cover the move or storage of my goods?
It may, depending on your policy. You should confirm directly with your insurer to understand what is covered.
Do you provide transit insurance, what does it cover?
Yes. Our transit insurance covers total loss if the vehicle is involved in an accident, such as a rollover.
Although we take care when handling your belongings, some risks are beyond our control. For more comprehensive cover, you may wish to arrange removals insurance. We recommend CARTS Removal Insurance.
Do you do corporate/office moves?

How would you handle precious and delicate items?
Each delicate item is assessed individually to determine the most suitable handling approach. These items are usually wrapped in bubble wrap during the pre-packing stage before moving day. In some cases, heavier coverings are avoided if they may put pressure on fragile surfaces.
Will my move be completed in a single day?
Most moves are completed within one day. Larger moves or longer distances may take longer.
What happens if my belongings don't fit into a single load?
Your operations manager will review your move in advance by assessing your property and asking relevant questions. If that doesn’t work, we may recommend additional trucks or crew.
If anything does not fit on the day, we will organise another truck if available, or return to complete a second load.
What items are you unable to move?
We are unable to transport:
- Commercial refrigeration equipment
- Items over 100 kg, unless prior arrangements have been made
- Flammable or hazardous materials, such as gas bottles, fuel, oil, and paint
- Open or unsealed food items
Do you work on weekends or public holidays?
We operate Monday to Saturday and are closed on public holidays.
Do you move interstate?
Yes, we handle interstate moves from Brisbane to Melbourne and from Melbourne to Brisbane, operating Monday to Saturday in both directions.
How far out of Brisbane do you travel?
For local moves, we service areas within 300km of our Geebung base for both pickup and delivery. If your move falls outside this range, contact us to discuss your options. Availability depends on scheduling at the time of booking.
