For interstate moves, 14 days’ notice is required to receive a full refund of your deposit.
How much notice do Brisk need upon booking?
We recommend booking as early as possible to secure truck availability for your preferred date and time. For local Brisbane moves, 2 to 4 weeks’ notice is ideal. For interstate moves, allow at least 4 weeks.
If you need a last-minute booking and we have availability, we will do our best to accommodate you.
I don’t have time to pack, can you pack for me?
If you are based in Brisbane, we can arrange packing for you. If you are elsewhere, we can recommend a trusted provider. Speak with your operations manager about our pre-packing service.
Do I need insurance?
We provide transit insurance that covers your belongings in the event of a rollover or collision. This cover does not include accidental damage or damage to TV screens.
If you require full accidental cover, you will need to arrange comprehensive insurance before your moving date. This can be organised through CARTS Insurance.
I want to take out insurance for the move, do I have to take it out with your provider?
No, you are free to choose any insurance provider. If you would like guidance, we can suggest a trusted option.
Will my home & contents policy cover the move or storage of my goods?
In some cases, your policy may cover this. It is best to check directly with your insurance provider to confirm the level of your coverage.
Do you provide transit insurance, what does it cover?

How would you handle precious and delicate items?
Each delicate item is reviewed individually to determine the best way to protect it. We recommend using bubble wrap during the pre-packing stage before our team arrives. In some cases, heavy protective blankets are not appropriate, as they can add pressure to fragile surfaces.
Will my move be completed in a single day?
Most local moves are completed within one day. Only very large moves or long-distance relocations may take more time to complete.
What happens if my belongings don't fit into a single load?
Your relocation manager will review your property and ask questions to assess the size of your move. If there is a chance that everything may not fit, we may recommend additional trucks and crew to complete the job efficiently.
If items do not fit on the day, we will arrange another truck, if available, or arrange a return for a second load. We will ensure your move is completed.
What items are you unable to move?
We are unable to transport:
- Commercial fridges
- Items over 100kg, unless they meet specific conditions
- Flammable goods, such as gas bottles, fuel, oil and paint
- Any open food items
Do you work on weekends or public holidays?
We operate Monday to Saturday and are closed on public holidays.
Do you move interstate?
Yes, we handle interstate moves from Brisbane to Melbourne and from Melbourne to Brisbane, operating Monday to Saturday in both directions.
How far out of Brisbane do you travel?
For local moves, we service areas within 300km of our Geebung base for both pickup and delivery. If your move falls outside this range, contact us to discuss your options. Availability depends on scheduling at the time of booking.
