What is your cancellation policy?
For local moves, at least 48 hours’ notice is required to be eligible for a full deposit refund. In some cases, if 48 hours’ notice is given and we are able to secure another booking for your timeslot, your deposit can still be returned.
For interstate moves, 14 days’ notice is required to receive a full refund of your deposit.
How much notice do Brisk need upon booking?
We suggest booking as early as possible to secure your preferred date and truck availability. For local Brisbane moves, allowing around 2 to 4 weeks is recommended, while interstate relocations generally require at least 4 weeks’ notice. If you are working with a shorter timeframe and we have space available, we will do our best to accommodate your booking.
I don’t have time to pack, can you pack for me?
If you are located in Brisbane, we can organise a packing service for you. For those outside the area, we can point you toward a reliable provider. You can discuss pre-packing options directly with your operations manager.
Do I need insurance?
Transit insurance is included and provides cover if your items are involved in a major incident such as a vehicle rollover or collision. It does not cover accidental damage or issues like cracked TV screens.
If you want broader protection, you will need to arrange comprehensive cover before your moving date, which can be done through CARTS Insurance.
I want to take out insurance for the move, do I have to take it out with your provider?
No, you are not required to use our recommended provider. You are welcome to arrange cover with any insurer you prefer. If needed, we can suggest an option.
Will my home & contents policy cover the move or storage of my goods?
It may, depending on your policy. The best approach is to check directly with your insurer to confirm what is included.
Do you provide transit insurance, what does it cover?
Yes, transit insurance is provided and covers total loss in the event of a serious incident, such as a vehicle accident or rollover.

Most moves are finished within the same day. Larger-scale or long-distance relocations may take longer depending on the scope of the job.
What happens if my belongings don't fit into a single load?
Your operations manager will review the details of your move by asking questions and assessing your property. If there is a possibility that everything will not fit, we may suggest additional trucks or crew to complete the move efficiently.
If anything is left behind on the day, we will organise another truck if available or return for a second trip to complete the job.
What items are you unable to move?
We are unable to transport:
- Commercial fridges
- Items over 100kg, unless they meet specific conditions
- Flammable goods, such as gas bottles, fuel, oil and paint
- Any open food items
Do you work on weekends or public holidays?
We operate from Monday to Saturday and do not run services on public holidays.
Do you move interstate?
Yes, we handle interstate moves from Brisbane to Melbourne and from Melbourne to Brisbane, operating Monday to Saturday in both directions.
How far out of Brisbane do you travel?
For local moves, we service areas within 300km of our Geebung base for both pickup and delivery. If your move falls outside this range, contact us to discuss your options. Availability depends on scheduling at the time of booking.
