Yes. Your operations manager will review the details of your move and let you know whether a fixed quote can be provided for your booking.
What is your cancellation policy?
For local moves, we require at least 48 hours’ notice for a full refund of your deposit. When enough notice is given, and we can replace the booking with another job, your deposit may still be refunded.
For interstate moves, you will need to give 14 days’ notice to receive a full deposit refund.
How much notice do Brisk need upon booking?
Book as early as you can so your preferred date, crew, and truck can be secured. For local Brisbane relocations, 2 to 4 weeks is usually a suitable amount of notice. For interstate moves, we recommend booking at least 4 weeks ahead.
When a move comes up at short notice, we will try to assist if we have the availability.
I don’t have time to pack, can you pack for me?
We can arrange packing services for Brisbane customers. For customers outside our service area, we may be able to recommend a trusted packing provider. Your operations manager can explain the pre-packing options available.
Do I need insurance?
Transit insurance is included with your move and applies to major vehicle incidents, such as a collision or rollover. It does not cover accidental damage or specific issues such as cracked screens.
For wider cover, you should arrange separate insurance before moving day. CARTS Insurance is one option available for this.
I want to take out insurance for the move, do I have to take it out with your provider?
You do not need to use our suggested provider. You can choose any insurance provider you prefer, and we can provide a recommendation if you would like one.
Will my home & contents policy cover the move or storage of my goods?
Coverage varies between policies, so you should check with your insurer before the move to confirm what is included.
Do you provide transit insurance, what does it cover?
Transit insurance is included and applies to total loss if the moving vehicle is involved in a serious event, such as a traffic accident or rollover.
Our team takes care when handling your belongings, but some risks sit outside the mover’s control. For stronger protection, separate removals insurance, such as CARTS Removal Insurance, may be worth arranging.
Do you do corporate/office moves?
We can manage corporate and office relocations. Your operations manager can help organise a quote and explain the service options.
How would you handle precious and delicate items?
Fragile items are assessed based on their size, weight, material, and condition so the right protection can be selected. During pre-packing, items may be protected with materials such as bubble wrap.
Where heavier coverings could place pressure on a delicate surface, our team may use a lighter handling method instead.
Will my move be completed in a single day?
Many moves can be finished in one day. Larger relocations, interstate moves, or jobs with more complex access may take longer.
What happens if my belongings don't fit into a single load?
Your operations manager will gather information about your property and belongings before the move so the right truck and crew can be planned.
If one load may not be enough, we may suggest extra crew or another truck. If everything cannot fit on the day, we will arrange another truck where available or return for an additional trip.
What items are you unable to move?
We are unable to move the following items:
- Commercial refrigeration units
- Items weighing more than 100kg, unless the required conditions are met
- Flammable products, including gas bottles, fuel, oil and paint
- Opened food items
Do you work on weekends or public holidays?
We operate from Monday to Saturday. We do not provide moves on public holidays.
Do you move interstate?
Yes, we handle interstate moves from Brisbane to Melbourne and from Melbourne to Brisbane, operating Monday to Saturday in both directions.
How far out of Brisbane do you travel?
For local moves, we service areas within 300km of our Geebung base for both pickup and delivery. If your move falls outside this range, contact us to discuss your options. Availability depends on scheduling at the time of booking.
