Can I obtain a fixed quote for my move?
Absolutely. Your dedicated operations manager will walk you through the available pricing options and help you determine whether a fixed quote is the right fit for your move.
What is your cancellation policy?
For local moves, a full deposit refund applies when you give at least 48 hours’ notice, and we are able to fill your booking slot with another job. For interstate moves, 14 days’ notice is required for a full deposit refund.
How much notice do Brisk need upon booking?
We recommend getting in as early as possible to secure your preferred date and time. For local Brisbane moves, booking two to four weeks in advance is ideal. For interstate moves, allow a minimum of four weeks.
If you need a last-minute booking, get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate you based on current availability.
I don’t have time to pack, can you pack for me?
If you are based in Brisbane, we can organise packing on your behalf. If you are located elsewhere, we can point you in the direction of a trusted provider. Talk to your operations manager about our pre-packing service.
Do I need insurance?
All moves include transit insurance, which covers your belongings in the event of a rollover or collision. This does not extend to accidental damage or damage to TV screens.
If you require full accidental cover, kindly arrange comprehensive insurance before your moving date. We recommend CARTS Insurance for this purpose.
I want to take out insurance for the move, do I have to take it out with your provider?
No, you are welcome to choose any insurance provider you prefer. If you would like a recommendation, we are happy to point you in the right direction.
Will my home & contents policy cover the move or storage of my goods?
It may, depending on your level of cover. The best approach is to check directly with your insurance provider before your moving date to confirm what is and is not included.
Do you provide transit insurance, what does it cover?
Yes, transit insurance is included with all moves. It covers total loss in the event the vehicle is involved in an accident, such as a rollover.
While our team takes great care with your belongings, some situations fall outside our control. For broader protection, you may wish to arrange additional removals insurance. We recommend Carts Removal Insurance for this.
Do you do corporate/office moves?
Yes, we handle corporate and office relocations of all sizes. Visit our Corporate and Office Removalists page to find out more or speak with your operations manager to request a quote.
How would you handle precious and delicate items?
Delicate items are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Where possible, these should be wrapped in bubble wrap during the pre-packing stage before our team arrives.
In certain cases, thick protective blankets can do more harm than good, as the added weight may damage fragile surfaces.
Will my move be completed in a single day?
In most cases, yes. The majority of moves are wrapped up within a single day. Only very large moves or long-distance relocations are likely to require additional time.
What happens if my belongings don't fit into a single load?
Your operations manager will assess the scale of your move by asking the right questions and reviewing your property. If there is a possibility everything will not fit in one trip, we may recommend additional trucks and crew to get the job done efficiently.
Should items not fit on the day, we will arrange another truck if one is available or return to collect the remainder. We will make sure your move is completed.
What items are you unable to move?
There are a small number of items we are unable to transport:
- Commercial fridges
- Anything exceeding 100kg, unless particular conditions allow for it
- Flammable goods, including gas bottles, fuel, oil, and paint
- Open food items
Do you work on weekends or public holidays?
Our team is available from Monday through to Saturday, but we are closed on public holidays.
Do you move interstate?
Yes, we complete interstate moves between Melbourne and Brisbane, operating Monday through Saturday in both directions.
How far out of Brisbane do you travel?
For local moves, we service areas within 300km of our Geebung base for both pickup and delivery. If your move falls outside this range, contact us to discuss your options. Availability depends on scheduling at the time of booking.
